The selection of Gram Panchayat Assistants was completed in three phases at each Gram Panchayat level. Gram Panchayat assistants were selected in the meeting of the concerned Gram Panchayat. ·         In order to get contact and cooperation from Bhamashahs / donors and public representatives in the development and construction of schools of elementary education in the Gram Panchayat, the ex-officio Panchayat will do all the work allotted by the Elementary Education Officer.

·         In connection with the performance of the work as the nodal officer of the schools of elementary education at the Gram Panchayat level, the ex-officio Panchayat will do all the work allotted by the Elementary Education Officer.

·         The ex-officio Panchayat will do all the work allotted by the Elementary Education Officer in relation to ensuring the compliance of the instructions issued by the State Government / School Education Council from time to time.

·         The ex-officio Panchayat Elementary Education Officer will do all the work allotted by the ex-officio Panchayat Elementary Education Officer in respect of exchange/updating/entry on Shala Darshan / Shala Darpan / other portals of all types of information related to elementary education.

·         All the work allotted by the ex-officio Panchayat Elementary Education Officer in relation to being informed about rural development schemes in the meetings of the Management Committee and Parent Teacher Council of all Government Primary and Upper Primary Schools located in the Gram Panchayat.

At present, the honorarium of Gram Panchayat Assistants working on contract is fixed from 01.04.2022 to Rs.7920/month, so as per Rule-13 of Rules-2022, the honorarium of Gram Panchayat Assistants is fixed by the Finance Department. According to the circular dated 30.03.2021 issued for the scheme, the monthly honorarium is proposed to be 21000/-.
